About
About Woof Cultr
We’re Mandy and Josh, a dog-loving duo living in Western Oregon with our adventure pup Fern and our two chaos coordinator cats, Fig and Donut. And yes, Donut is named after Donut from Dungeon Crawler Carl.
Woof Cultr started the same way many of our ideas do—on a dog walk.
Back in 2019, after years of working as dog walkers and becoming certified trainers in San Francisco, we noticed a pretty big gap in the R+ world. We wanted shirts that proudly said, “Yep, I’m that science-based, treat-filled, positive reinforcement person.”
But when we looked online? Nothing. At least, nothing we’d actually want to wear.
So we made our own.
And Woof Cultr was born.
What We’re About
Woof Cultr has always been about more than clothing. It’s about making humane, reward-based training more visible—and helping people find others who share those values.
You know the feeling: you spot someone across the park in a “Reward Your Dog” hoodie or an “Always Bring Treats” tee and immediately think, Oh, you get it.
That’s the connection we want to create, one design at a time.
We make apparel that’s modern, nerdy, and unapologetically pro-R+. Shirts that spark conversations. Hats that spread the word. Hoodies that become your unofficial uniform for training classes, dog walks, conferences, coffee runs, and everything in between.
Who’s Behind the Scenes
Mandy
Mandy is the heart and voice behind Woof Cultr.
After years of working professionally with dogs, Mandy opened her new training business in Oregon Wine Country in 2025. Today, her primary focus is working with dogs and their people right here in her local community, helping families build better communication, stronger relationships, and practical skills through humane, reward-based training.
Woof Cultr continues to run in the background as another way for her to advocate for the same thing she does every day in her training work: kinder, science-informed ways of living and working with dogs.
Mandy is also the creator and former host of The Leashed Mind Podcast, a show created to make room for conversations that don’t always happen openly in the dog training industry—from mental health and burnout to business, identity, and the realities of working with animals and people.
The podcast is no longer producing new episodes, but the full archive is still available to watch and listen to on YouTube and your favorite podcast platform.
Josh
Josh is the website wizard, marketing brain, and guy responsible for much of what happens behind the digital curtain at Woof Cultr.
He also runs Digiwoof, helping R+ dog trainers and other pet professionals with websites, marketing, advertising, business systems, and software designed specifically for the pet care world.
When he’s not designing, building, or geeking out over systems, you’ll probably find him on his gravel bike, exploring Oregon with Fern, or attempting to keep Fig and Donut entertained.
Why Woof Cultr Still Matters to Us
A lot has changed since we started Woof Cultr in 2019.
Our careers have evolved. We moved from San Francisco to Oregon. Mandy built a local training business. Josh built Digiwoof. The Leashed Mind created years of conversations with people across the dog training industry.
But the reason Woof Cultr exists hasn’t really changed.
We still believe in making humane training visible.
We still believe positive reinforcement deserves to be the norm—not the alternative.
And we still love the idea that something as simple as the shirt you wear can start a conversation, help someone find their people, or introduce a dog parent to a different way of thinking about training.
So Woof Cultr is still here.
Still a little nerdy. Still very dog-obsessed. Still carrying treats.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: make R+ visible.
The more people see humane, science-informed, reward-based training represented in everyday life, the more normal it becomes.
Because training shirts shouldn’t be boring.
And your values deserve to be seen.
Our Sister Business
Woof Cultr’s sister company, Digiwoof, helps positive reinforcement dog trainers and pet professionals build better businesses through branding, websites, marketing, advertising, automation, and software.
Basically, Josh helps take care of the business side so pet professionals can spend more time doing the work they actually got into this industry to do.
